...it got down to 1F last night. This morning when I checked on the chickens, their water was frozen so solid it was completely white.
You know that really tense and overly expanded kind of frozen that just makes the ice look like marble?
At 10:45PM tonight, it's already -1F.
I might have 3 more chickens for the freezer tomorrow.

Tell-tale signs of a water main break here... the temp got into the single digits over night, the water out of the tap is increasingly turning brown and it is freezing cold.

I'm getting pretty good and figuring out this thing. It's fun, but it really is made with some flaws.
It's almost like Windows. If the remote has issues, you have to pull the batteries, put them back in, re-synch it and keep your fingers crossed.

I have two systems on the workbench I have to get done with today... so I have to stay alert and vomit free.

The aforementioned glow of the day came to a screeching halt this afternoon when my daughter got sick. Followed by her brother. A 24-hour bug the youngest was the first to come down with on Thursday morning… and their mom got it… so now I’m just waiting to see if it hits me after being coughed and vomited on several times today.
Now I get to sit home alone in quarantine because I definitely don’t want to spread it to Morri after all she has been through with bronchitis lately.
*sigh*
The stress of the day has left me with a knot in my neck and right shoulder that is preventing me from turning my head to the left more than an inch or two… I haven’t eaten since lunch figuring if I’m going to get it, best go into it with an empty stomach… right?
Maybe a good dose of scotch will kill all the germs… hmmm…
